- Participated in a national research project on wide-range Wireless Optical Power Transmissin system.
- Designed high-efficiency DC/DC converters (buck and boost) for low supplied power with ultra-low voltage (<0.4V) and hgh-voltage(>32V) power delivery from photovoltanic cells.
- Developed algorithms and hardware resources for an ultra-low latency (>300us) communication system for laser safety device, with low power consumption (>20mW)
Project Experience
Basic Sophomore Capstone Design (A+, E.I.C.E. Sejong University, Sep. 2020 - Dec. 2020)
- Role: Presenter & Network System Design, Algorithm Design and Programming, Hardware Design and Manufacturing
- Fully automated parking slot management system for narrow roads with Number plate image processing
- Adopted machine learning featured with TensorFlow and Tesseract to recognize characters(numbers, Koreann characters) on the number plate
- All stages of algorithm development, frontend, and backend were conducted on a Linux environment via SSH remote access.

4th IT Creative Challenge (Autumn Annual Conference of IEIE, 2021)
- Capstone Design Contest without using MCU or FPGA

- Role: Presenter & Circuit Design, Hardware Manufacturing
- Designed self-operating crosswalk sunshades with real-time environmental sensing.
- Designed under strict constraints - without using any MCU or FPGA.
- Developed four environmental condition detection methods (temperature, wind speed, precipitation, and ambient light) using op-amps, optimized for low detection voltage levels and noise.
KIEEME Capstone Design Contest Project (Summer Annual Conference of KIEEME, 2024)

- Role: Presenter & Computer Network Design,Hardware Design and Manufacturing
- Designed Machine Learning driven semi-automated management system for floating sea farms.
- Implemented individual computer network system over Korea; each member from all different locations and schools.
- Designed a dual AI detection and parallel processing method for detecting fry; using a contour-based model and a line-drawing-based model.
- Executed all video processing procedures using AI and machine learning under low latency - less than 1 second - between hardware in Seoul and a central GPU server in Daegu.
- Developed frontend and backend systems for a red tide alarm platform, integrating data from distributed buoys and displaying results on the website.
7th IT Creative Challenge (Autumn Annual Conference of IEIE, 2024)

- Role: Presenter, Circuit Design, PCB and Hardware Manufacturing
- Designed a bouey-based red tide alert system using color detection and an RF-based mesh network for data collection.
- Implemented a mesh grid structure to reduce signal transmission distance and minize power consumption.
- Used AM modulation in the 70cm band to ensure compatibility with commerical UHF tranceivers on fishing vessels.
- Designed an RGB signal amplification circuit for photovoltanic cells, achieving a gain factor of 1 million for noise reduction.
Information System Design (A0, E.I.C.E, Sejong Univeristy, Sep. 2024 - Dec. 2024)
- Designed a single microstrip patch (MSP) antenna with maximum gain and directivity under constrained conditions.
- Employed multple H-shaped gratings to enhance realized gain in the presence of zero initial H-field.
Data Communication System Design (B+, E.I.C.E, Sejong University, Sep. 2024 - Dec. 2024)
- Designed a machine learning based QPSK encoder and decoder.
- Applied machine learning based on PyTorch to reduce BER and improve phase and amplitude detection under AWGN conditions and low SNR environments.
Electronics Circuit Design (A0, E.I.C.E, Sejong University, Mar. 2025 - Jun 2025)
- Designed an audio amplifier circuit with BJT; optimized for maximum voltage gain under constrained design conditions.
